With 40 years of experience litigating a wide variety of civil cases, Mr. McKelvie now specializes in representing heirs and beneficiaries in contested probate court cases. Mr. McKelvie is recognized as a leading expert in this field, having won bench and jury trials involving questions of mental capacity, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, undue influence, forgery of change of beneficiary forms and will codicils, perjury, a fake death-bed marriage, violations of fiduciary duties, misappropriation of estate assets and even murder. His objective in every case is to make sure the decedent’s final wishes are honored and his clients’ rights as heirs and beneficiaries are enforced.
Ms. McKelvie heads up the firm’s family law department. She has more than 20 years of experience representing husbands and wives in divorce proceedings, drafting pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, handling adoptions and litigating alimony and child custody and support disputes. Ms. McKelvie specializes in domestic relations matters involving trusts, inheritances, investments and business interests, with leading edge expertise regarding the unique legal and financial issues involved in such cases.
Mr. Yee is heavily involved in the firm’s representation of automotive manufacturers in breach of warranty matters, and heads up the firm’s employment law department. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2001. Mr. Yee is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Epacs is the firm’s leading estate planning attorney. He specializes in the design, drafting and implementation of estate plans, often involving substantial assets. Whether the need is for a simple Will and living Trust or a far more complex estate plan, Mr. Epacs has the skill and expertise to design and create the appropriate estate plan. He has extensive experience counseling clients regarding the often difficult financial and legal decisions required to ensure the well-being of their families and the long term success of their businesses.
